Guru Poornima will be celebrated at Sri Danvantri Arogya Peedam, Walajapet, on 30.07.2015, Peedam founder Kayilai Gnanaguru Dr Sri Muralidhara Swamigal has informed.

The world has been graced and blessed by the lives of several gurus who have inspired people and tried to lead them on the path of good and world peace. The Peedam on Guru Poornima day will pay obeisance to all the gurus who have provided guidance to the people.

Students can gain knowledge if they worshipped before Saraswathi, Karthaveeryajunar, Dakshinamurthy, Dattatreyar and Lakshmi Hayagrivar. The Peedam also has deities of gurus like Buddhar, Ramanar, Guru Nanak, Raghavendrar, Vallalar, Kanchi Mahaperiyavar, Seshadri swamigal, Mahavir, Baba, Veerabramangaru, Sri Ramakrishanar, Akasthiyar and so on, to provide inspiration and blessings to the people. A special joint prayer and homam would be organised for 468 Siddhars whose idols were at the Peedam.
