We welcome you to visit Sri Danvantri Arogya Peedam, Sacred Center of Indian Culture
Universal Peedam means "Welfare of the Universe" the phrase used by all saints who worked for welfare of the beings in this universe through their spiritual powers spreading the message of compassion and love. This was common for all religions to remove the sufferings of the mankind and inspire them to share their compassion and love with their fellow beings. So the spirit of love and compassion is common amongst all religions of this world. So why this hatred when we work for a common cause.
Sri Danvantri Arogya Peedam was established by Dr. Sri Muralidhara Swamigal, who has been blessed with number of supernatural powers (siddhis) by cosmic powers and energies of the universe and beyond.
This is not a temple. Sri Muralidhara Swamigal's Danvantri Arogya Peedam is a universal curer of diseases of the humankind (MAKKAL PINI THEERKUM MARUTHUVAMANAI). A Divine Hospital where the God of Medicine nurses and cures all of us and brings back mental, physical, and emotional health.
The main idol of Lord Danvantri has been sanctified in the garbagraha on the double-decker structure. For a few feet beneath the actual peedam upon which Idol rests, there is a deep hole lined with granite stones. A copper pipe, about seven inches diameter, has been placed at the centre of the hole and the 54 crore mantras have been tightly packed around this pipe. This copper pipe serves as carrier of the vibrations that are constantly reverberating from the strength of the mantras and spreads the energy.
Danvantri Arogya Peedam, being a universal place of healing and Lord Danvantri Himself being the Doctor of Medicines, God of Health and Doctor of Doctors, there are no limitations or contradictions based on the perspective of religion, caste and creed.
The purpose of placing the mantras beneath the peedam and idol is that the collective powers of each of these personal faiths brings forth an effect of profuse magnitude and strength.
Moreover, Danvantri Arogya Peedam never restricts any people from other religions like Christians, Muslims and so on from entering into the temple. Peedam allows the people of all religions to visit the Lord and seeks to put an end to all their miseries. That is why the centre is a truly Universal Peedam.
Sri Danvantri Arogya Peedam is closed on Mondays. Peedam will be remained open on Mondays as exceptional cases for special pujas.
