MUNEESWARAN

Muneeswaran is normally worshiped as a kula devata (family deity). His name is simply a combination of the words Muni (demi-god saint) and Ishwara (Lord Shiva).

Legend has it that Lord Shiva himself created Muneeswaran and that he possessed seven divine qualities. Based on the seven divine qualities, he is referred to as :

Maha Muni or Maha Muneeswaran – He became Maha Muni who possessed immeasurable power and divinity.Shiva Muni or Shiva Muneeswaran – As he appeared from Lord Shiva’s face. He assumed the form of Shiva Muni.Vaal Muni or Vaal Muneeswaran – Vaal Muni is praised and worshiped by the Kapalis who live in the jungle.Jadhaa Muni or Jadhaa Muneeswaran – Jadhaa Muni grew trees and possessed Rudrakshamala Katgar and the book.Thava Muni or Thava Muneeswaran – Thava Muni removed all obstacles in the path of the Devas and Rishis during their Yajna.Dharma Muni or Dharma Muneeswaran – Dharma Muni was the protector of the good and the destroyer of evil. He ensures victory of Dharma.Naatha Muni or Naatha Muneeswaran – Naatha Muni offered blessings to the Devas and Buddhaganas

BENEFITS OF MUNEESWARAN MOOLA MANTRA

The Muneeswaran Moola Mantra is a very powerful and sacred mantra for protection. When Lord Muneeswaran is worshiped wholeheartedly by chanting the mantras dedicated to him, he blesses the devotee with a peaceful and sorrow-free life. He also ensures the well-being of the devotee’s entire family. He destroys all things evil and therefore, you will be relieved of disturbances from all kinds of evil energies and entities.

He also protects the devotee from enemies and the problems created by them. When some one is creating hurdles and problems in your life, then Muneeswaran will protect you. Overall, he protects his devotees from all kinds of calamities, dangers, problems, and misfortunes. He is also a wish fulfiller.

BEST DAYS TO CHANT MUNEESWARAN MOOLA MANTRA

If you are unable to chant the mantra on a daily basis, you may chant it on Saturdays. Apart from that Amavasya (new moon) days are also auspicious to worship Muneeswaran.

BEST DAY TO INITIATE MUNEESWARAN MOOLA MANTRA

The best days to initiate the mantra are Shukla Paksha Saturday or on any Amavasya days.

BEST TIME TO CHANT MUNEESWARAN MOOLA MANTRA

The Muneeswaran Moola Mantra is best chanted during early morning. However, there is no particular time to worship Muneeswaran. Some will also pray to him after sunset and at midnight for protection.

NUMBER OF TIMES TO CHANT MUNEESWARAN MOOLA MANTRA

This mantra can be chanted for a minimum of 1 time on a daily basis. Apart from that, one can also chant it for 3, 5, 9, 108, or 1,008 times.

WHO CAN CHANT THIS MANTRA

This powerful Muneeswaran Mantra can be chanted by anyone regardless of gender and age.

*Ladies should avoid chanting the Muneeswaran Moola Mantra while undergoing their monthly menstrual cycles.

HOW TO WORSHIP MUNEESWARAN ?

You can use the photo of Muneeswaran, statue of Muneeswaran, a Trishula (trident), or simply a clean brick applied with turmeric, holy ash, and vermilion.

WHERE TO CHANT MUNEESWARAN MOOLA MANTRA

This mantra should be chanted facing West while seated on either the Northeast or East quadrant of your house or puja room. Apart from that, you may also chant the mantra seated below a pipal tree.

NAIVEDYAM / FOOD OFFERINGS FOR MUNEESWARAN

Generally, you may offer sweet pongal, tamarind rice, or lemon rice to Muneeswaran. Apart from that, you may also offer fruits with betel leaves and betel nuts (areca nuts). Normally, one can offer any food to Muneeswaran as he will accept anything that is offered with utmost devotion and love from his devotees.

*Some also offers non-vegetarian food items as well as cheroots, cigarettes, and alcohol drinks.

FLOWERS / PLANTS FOR MUNEESWARAN

Any fragrant flowers can be offered to Muneeswaran. You may also offer pipal leaves.

*Never ever offer artificially and/or chemically coloured flowers to Gods and Goddesses.

JAPA MALA FOR MUNEESWARAN MOOLA MANTRA

You can use rosary beads (japa mala) made out of clear quartz crystals known as spadika mala. Apart from that, you may use rudraksha japa mala for the japa of Muneeswaran Moola Mantra.
