ABOUT SRI MURALIDHARA SWAMIGAL - 61st AVATHARA JAYANTHI MAHOTSAVAM ON 14TH NOVEMBER 2021, SUNDAY
It was a promise to his cancer-stricken mother, Smt Komalavalli, that made Sri S Muralidharan launch the Maruthiyin Udavikarangal trust to source the ancient knowledge of India and ensure that others do not suffer like her.
A few months later, after an intense spiritual experience, Sri Muralidharan, now called Sri Muralidhara Swamigal, launched on the project of founding a temple dedicated to the God of Medicine, Sri Danvantri Bhagwan.
With the blessings of his parents, his own supernatural powers (siddhis) and guidance from Sugabrahma Rishi Nadi, that had predicted the rise of the temple, he set about his mission.
Working tirelessly, he began with the idea of a temple for Sri Danvantri Bhagwan which is ever-expanding with different peedams inside the Sri Danvantri Arogya Peedam complex at Walajapet.
Swamigal’s vision is ‘Noyatru Vazhattum Ulagu’ – which translates into ‘Let the world be disease-free’. He spends every minute of the day thinking about how to expand this mission of a life without diseases and performs various yagams for the benefit of devotees. He has consecrated 80 deities as of October 2020 and performs yagams to the deities on special days.
Swamigal believes that the ancient wisdom of our forefathers would guide people out of their physical and mental problems and performs different
types of homams everyday. It is not for nothing that he is known as ‘Yagnasri’ Muralidhara Swamigal.
He was awarded a doctorate by an Italian university and is now universally celebrated as ‘Yagnasri Kayilai Gnanaguru’ Dr Sri Muralidhara Swamigal.
