1008 Sumangalis participated in the special Sumangali Pooja held at Sri Danvantri Arogya Peedam, Walajapet, on Friday, January 30, 2015 at 10AM - 1PM. Peedam founder Kayilai Gnanaguru Dr. Sri Muralidhara Swamigal said, the Sumangalis who participated in the pooja are provided tamboolam by the Peedam including saree, blouse piece, betel leaves and nuts, kumkum, turmeric, mirror and comb among other items on behalf of the Peedam. Sri Suktha homam was also conducted along with Garba Rakshambigai yaagam. The participants worshipped before the deities of the Peedam and prayed for well-being of their families. Tamil version
