VASTHU HOMAM / NAVAGRAHA HOMAM WITH NAVADHANYA ABHISHEKAM

With the Blessings of our beloved Guruji 'Yagnasri Kayilai Gnanaguru' Dr. Sri Muralidhara Swamigal, Founder, Sri Danvantri Arogya Peedam is organizing Vasthu/Navagraha Homam with Navadhanya Abhishekam on 4th June 2021, Friday from 10.00 AM to 12.30 PM

Ensuring growth and success is VAASTHU BHAGWAN with ASHTADHIK BAALAKAS in the LINGAM FORM

Why is there a vaasthu benediction here? The complex came up at intervals, as intuition and divine messages came forth to Swamigal. The physical construct of the peedam therefore does not comply entirely with the vaasthu laws. After much thought, Swamigal decided to lay this problem at the Lord's feet; he constructed the Vaasthu Purushar image in strict accordance with the vaasthu laws and left it to Him to resolve any issues that might arise due to misaligned vaasthu.

The vaasthu purushar is a black stone, short human idol in a reclining position, with the head oriented towards the northeast, where Lord Siva is in residence and where Ganga flows. According to the principles of vaasthu, this then is the place where a householder must dig a well in his home. In the east sits Indran. In the south-east is Agni, or the kitchen of the house. The south is where Yama resides. In the southwest is Kuberan, the god of wealth; ideally the head of the family would occupy this corner of the house. In the West is Varuna, while Vayu occupies the north-west. In the centre rests Brahma.

For devotees who come to pray here, corrective yantras are given to set right the vaasthu in their homes. Eight lingams adorn the eight directions specifi c in vaastu shastra to bestow distinct energies.

The water used during abhishekams of these lingams and the Vastu Purusha at this shrine is recycled, as the water goes into a well in the north-east corner.

This shrine has been established under the aegis of the Vaastu Nivarti Peedam. The interesting feature about this entire space is that the Vaastu Purushar has been consecrated in an area that is by all counts vaasthu unfriendly.

NAVAGRAHA HOMAM

The term Navagraha denotes the nine celestial bodies which are central to astrological calculations (and beliefs) (and not the nine planets as it is frequently erroneously translated). The Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn and the two shadow planets Rahu and Ketu constitute the Navagraha.

The nine "grahas" or planets in our horoscope control our karma, our desires and their outcomes. Each of these nine planets exerts an influence in our lives, which is called "dasa" and it can be known from one's horoscope. Navagraha Pooja/homam is performed to reduce the negative effects and improve the positive energies related to a person.

SIGNIFICANCE

The Navagraha play a vital role in deciding the course of our lives. If 4 or more of the planets are not well placed in ones natal chart, Navagraha homam should be performed. It is also performed if Rahu (Ascending node) and Ketu (Descending node) are afflicted. Navagraha homam is performed if one has kalathra dosha or kala sarpha dosha. The dosha should be nullified to improve marital life and career.

Every graha/planet has its own importance.

Sun is the king of planets which gives health.

Moon is the planet which rules over mind and gives success.

Mars or Mangal is the planet which gives prosperity and wealth.

Mercury is the planet which gives knowledge.
