Danvantri heals through the medium of air. Hence the power of intention, mantras and herbs are resorted to in His healing format. Chillies and herbs are offered to the fire to infuse the air with its vitality, and the smoke cleanses the air around. When people come with the intention of getting healed, the red chilly offerings to the fire are symbolic of burning the negativity which brought about the disease.

This is in turn transmuted into the energy that will offer the very healing; Rogam theerthu Yogam alikkum. It is believed that where there is fire, siddhars are present. All the flowers, etc., used in the temple go back into the fire as fuel (ahaara). Hence, no flowers or offerings are given back as prasadam.

Again where there is agni, Goddess Lakshmi, the harbinger of wealth and vitality, resides. With Danvantri burning away the disease, the individual has his body, mind and spirit restored to good health.

The homam has been burning non-stop 24 x 7 since the inception in 2005. Vishwatmak Jangli Maharaj of Nasik Road performed aarthi at the Yaaga Saalai here, which was an honour in itself.
